Teaching Personnel are seeking Behaviour Support Workers for their Pupil Referal Schools in Birmingham. The successful candidate will work alongside a committed team to inspire and encourage both primary and secondary pupils to display positive behaviours and take responsibility of their learning. The successful candidate will have a calming manor with the ability to adapt quickly to implemented processes.
As a behaviour support worker, you must:
- Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to get one through Teaching Personnel
- Have experience supporting children or young people that display challenging behaviours
- Be able to encourage children to become responsive in their learning
- Be a strong communicator and show resilience when supporting pupils
- Create a safe environment where pupils can learn and take pride in their behaviour
- Recognise each pupil’s individuality and adjust your support according to the needs of each pupil
- Develop positive behaviours with pupils and staff
This role is well suited to a committed candidate with relevant experience as this can be a challenging environment to work in. Additional training such as Team Teach is desirable although not essential as you may have the opportunity to do this training with Teaching Personnel.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
