Behaviour Support Worker - Southampton

Job description

Our client is currently seeking two Behaviour Management Teaching Assistants to work in a specialist SEMH provision based in Swanwick.

This provision is a small, independent Special Therapeutic Education Provision (STEP) for boys and girls with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH) between the ages of 11 and 19 years. All attending pupils at the provision have statemented Education, Health and Care Plans and come from family homes, foster care and residential units; however the majority of which are Looked After Children.

The type of candidate which we are looking for in this role will have some of the following experience:

  • Police
  • Youth Work
  • Drug and Alcohol Support
  • Criminal Justice System Support
  • Coaching
  • Mentorship

This school is accessible from both Southampton and Fareham, so applicants from both areas may apply. The school has parking on site or alternately is accessible by public transport, as is on a direct bus route or a 10 minute walk from Swanwick train station.
