Behaviour Support Worker required in Farnworth

Are you experienced supporting pupils with challenging behaviour? Are you able to put effective strategies in place in order to avoid confrontational and disruptive behaviour?

If so a Good school located in the Farnworth area of Bolton is currently looking to employ a behaviour intervention specialist to work with small groups and pupils on a 1:1 basis developing positive behaviour strategies and carrying out a nurturing role within school. The school is locate just off Plodder Lane and works as part of three schools, providing training and support for all staff in order to allow them to succeed and progress.

The post is for 35 hours a week but has the potential to develop into a permanent role.

To be successful you will need to:

  • Have a strong background dealing with pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Possible come from a military or police background
  • Preferably team teach trained, however not essential
  • Be a good communicator and be able to work as part of a team
  • Have a good understanding of safeguard and procedures
  • Be outgoing and have a strong classroom presence
  • Be experienced working with pupils on a small group and 1:1 basis
  • Have school based experience and be able to implement a range of behaviour interventions.
