An alternative provision in Bradford a seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team this term. This is a long term role, on a temporary, fixed term basis in the first instance, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.

The setting provides alternative education and accredited youth work initiatives to those young people who struggle to achieve in more conventional settings. They offer a holistic experience which considers every young person as a unique individual with unique needs and unique potential.

The School boasts two sites in close proximity, giving students the opportunity to study Animal Care, Construction and Land Based Studies at the City Farm, and Music Technology and vocational learning at the Young People's 'Club' site. The provision is based in the heart of Bradford District, easily accessible by car and public transport from the surrounding areas.

The provision currently offers 110 full time places with Alternative Provision status (Students remain on formal school roll) and the learners are placed within the school on full and/or part time basis. Learners are from key stages 3, 4 and 5.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will support a broad and balanced curriculum, highly differentiated to incorporate the needs of all pupils. You must be resilient, able to effectively manage pupil behaviour and be responsive to the individual needs of pupils. Training in Team Teach or equivalent Restrictive Physical Intervention would be beneficial, although not essential as training can be provided. We welcome applications from experienced Behaviour Support Workers but would also be interested in hearing from those with a background in Youth Work, Residential Support and/or Social Care.
