Behaviour Support Worker Required in Bradford

Job description

An alternative provision in Bradford are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join their team. This is a long term role, on a temporary, fixed term basis in the first instance, with the opportunity to become a permanent member of staff.

The setting provides alternative education and accredited youth work initiatives to those young people who struggle to achieve in more conventional settings. They offer a holistic experience which considers every young person as a unique individual with unique needs and unique potential.

The School boasts two sites in close proximity, giving students the opportunity to study Animal Care, Construction and Land Based Studies at the City Farm, and Music Technology and vocational learning at the Young People's 'Club' site. The provision is based in the heart of Bradford District, easily accessible by car and public transport from the surrounding areas.

The provision currently offers 110 full time places with Alternative Provider status (Students remain on formal school roll) and the learners are placed within the school on full and/or part time basis. Learners are from key stages 3, 4 and 5.

You will be required to support a broad and balanced curriculum, highly differentiated to incorporate the needs of pupils. You must be resilient, able to effectively manage pupil behaviour and responsive to the individual needs of pupils.

As a registered candidate with Teaching Personnel, you will have access to the following:

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
