Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit teaching assistants with challenging behaviour experience to work with a client school based in Newport. The role may require one to one or small group work with students that have challenging behaviour. The role itself requires you to support the pupils and keep them on task to meet their learning aims and objectives. Trips to the park may also be required when dealing with a deescalating situation. Candidates are expected to work between 8:30-3:30. We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £54.00-£60.00 a day.

The Ideal candidate will:

  • Have great behaviour management skills
  • Have experience working with challenging behaviour
  • Team Teach Trained (Desirable)
  • have excellent communication skills
  • show great resilience
  • Uphold great patience

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
