Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit teaching assistants with a specialism in challenging behaviour to work with a client school based in Torfaen. The role involves candidates working either in small groups or on a one to one basis, keeping the pupils engaged and on task with their learning needs and objectives. Short trips to the park or shop may also be asked of you when deescalating a situation. The times that you are expected to work are 8:30-3:30. The school is run by a successful team of staff more than willing to go that extra mile to help. The students that attend the client school may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and challenging behaviour. We offer a competitive rate of pay ranging from £50.44-£60.00 along with other additional benefits.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
