North Manchester - Behaviour Support Assistant

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a number of Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants on behalf of our client secondary school located in North Manchester.

Due to a restructuring within their support team, this school have identified support assistant gaps and require a number of additional Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants.

These opportunities are initially long term temporary roles, however due to the nature of the opportunities; it is highly likely that the successful applicants will have the opportunity to earn a permanent role within school at a later date.

  • Full time Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - September 2018 start
  • Supporting the learning, development, behaviour and engagement of secondary aged pupils
  • Providing support across all subject areas including; English, Maths, Science and Humanities
  • Working alongside senior members of staff to track and monitor attendance, results and individual pupils progress within classes
  • Earn up to £1300 per month

Our client school located in Moston in a Roman Catholic Secondary School wish to expand their support team ahead of the new academic year (September 2018). This is the ideal opportunity for anyone with previous experience supporting secondary pupils within an education setting, to have a positive impact on the learning of 'harder to reach' pupils.

Behaviour Support teaching Assistant applicant requirements;

  • Previous experience working within secondary schools/youth and community support work
  • Be able to build positive working relationships with pupils and be able to raise aspirations of those who often struggle to engage within school
  • Hold the ability to diffuse disruptive behaviour and be a role model to individual pupils
  • Have previous experience working within an education setting or environment

Situated in the Moston region of North Manchester, our partner Secondary school can be accessed via the M60 motorway. Neighbouring areas Oldham, central Manchester and Middleton also provide a direct route to the school. For non-drivers, the school is beside a metrolink stop, and there are a number of bus routes that lead to the school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
