Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are looking for behaviour support specialists to work in our academy trust provisions. The roles are working from 8:30-3:30, 5 days a week. The role itself requires candidates to work with children and young people on a 1:1/small group basis. You would be working with the children on

Teaching Personnel are working with several specialist units that caters for pupils with challenging behaviour and learning difficulties . I am looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience and has a keen interest in supporting young learners in class. The ideal applicant will have prior experience working in the classroom and have the ability to support children and teenagers with SEN; in particular those with Autism, Asperger's, Social Emotional & Mental Health or behavioural issues.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A full, clean driving licence with access to a car to use daily.
  • Be passionate and enthusiastic to work with pupils within the setting to enhance their learning and support their welfare and mental health.
  • Must have experience of working with young people and will have had experience of working within the education or health care sector and with multi-agencies.
  • Will be proactive and eager to carry out responsibilities.
  • Need to have NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or similar.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade A-C

These roles may require you to go out on different activities with the children to engage them with different curriculum based learning set out for their individual needs. This requires the candidates to be able to drive with access to their own vehicle.

You are required to drive for this role and have a full DBS check. If you already have a DBS in child workforce that is on the update service then your documents can be processed faster.
