SEMH/behaviour support assistant role for Salford Primary School, Irlam, M44

Supporting a pupil in year 4

Long-term wit possibility of contract on offer

Experience of working with challenging behaviours highly desirable

Learning support assistant with behaviour experience required.

A full time opportunity has become available in a larger than average primary school in the Irlam area of Salford. The school are looking to recruit a learning support assistant with experience supporting pupils with barriers to learning, who display challenging behaviour.

The school is located in the Irlam area of Salford and is one a form entry. The role is supporting a young boy who will be in year 4 in September. He is very energetic but can be disruptive. The Salford school are looking for a TA who can support the pupil in class but also able to take him out for 1:1 sessions if needs be.

To be considered for this learning support assistant role, you will need to have a teaching assistant qualification or a degree and significant experience working with children with behavioural needs. This is a full time post starting in September.

The Role:

  • Supporting a pupil with challenging behaviour in year 4
  • Working in class and withdrawal from class where appropriate
  • Including and accessing the mainstream curriculum where possible

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
