Do you have a passion to improve behaviour in young people especially in a school-based setting?

Are you a recent graduate and aspire to become a teacher or education psychologist?

If so, Teaching Personnel are working with the Inclusion manager at a well respected secondary school to support them with the recruitment of a recent graduate/Behaviour Mentor.

  • Graduate Behaviour Mentor – Bolton based secondary school
  • Required to start as soon as possible.
  • Competitive pay in the region of GBP1000 – GBP1200 per month.
  • Temporary employment with a view to permanent extension.
  • Training and CPD to be provided by Teaching Personnel and the school.

As a Behaviour Mentor, your role will be to work with students that have been identified to have challenging behaviour, helping students overcome their behavioural issues, whilst acting as a role model and someone to look up to. If you are someone who has the ability to think on your feet and stay calm whilst dealing with challenging situations, you would be very well suited to this Behaviour Mentor role. Previous experience working alongside young learners aged 11-16 is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate for this Behaviour Mentor position will be outgoing and confident but also understanding when working with our students who come from a variety of backgrounds. The school that are seeking to appoint for this role currently has around 900 pupils on roll. (Smaller than the average Secondary school in the area.) Located on the outskirts of Bolton and is just a short drive away from the M61. There are an abundance of public transport links in the area giving staff easy access to the surrounding areas Bury, Salford, Wigan and Manchester.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
