Behaviour Support For SEMH Students

Job description

This school have a supportive staff and senior leadership team and is largely focused on enhancing their staffs professional development, regularly running extra training sessions for Teaching Assistants in particular.

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a Salford Primary Pupil Referral Unit who require a specialised KS2 Teaching Assistant on a full time basis to work within their West Manchester KS2 setting. This position is to start immediately and continue until September 2018. The role would require the Teaching Assistant to support whole class and occasionally as a 1:1 support. There is potential for this position to continue longer and even permanent for the right person.

  • previous experience teaching young people with social, emotional and mental health needs
  • strong behaviour management skills
  • have sound knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
  • have an up-to-date Team - Teach qualification
  • have a DBS on the update service (due to being an immediate start)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
