Behaviour Support Assistants - Widnes - April 2019

To meet the increased demand for Behavioural Support Workers / assistants to support students with learning and behaviour difficulties in the Widnes area, we are presently looking to recruit passionate characters, ideally with experience of working with young people in a school environment. However we will accept candidates from the following backgrounds;

  • Sports & Coaching
  • Youth Work and Training
  • Art, Design or Music

There are various schools across the Widnes areas that require full time, long term Behaviour Support Assistants for the remainder and forthcoming academic year. The school supports students who find it difficult to participate in mainstream education. Each student has their own tailored curriculum, which considers the pupils strengths, weaknesses and interests.

To be considered for this role you must energetic, patient and reliable. You must have the ability to use effective methods to handle difficult behaviour.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience of working with children (classroom environment desirable)
  • Will be experienced in managing difficult behaviour or special educational needs.
  • Will be enthusiastic and 'hands on' in and out of the classroom.
  • Will have a clean, full driving license and access to a car to use daily.
