Behaviour Support Assistants - Speke - January 2019

Are you a BSA / LSA with experience of working with students with SEMH & Challenging Behaviour?

Do you live local to the Speke area?

Teaching Personnel are seeking numerous Behaviour Support Assistants to work closely with students in a one to one setting and in intervention groups within mainstream Primary schools across the areas of Speke, Halewood, and Hale in Liverpool. The various roles, set to start January 2019, are very challenging but extremely rewarding. As you will be working closely with students with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), educational needs you must be committed, reliable and enthusiastic.

Ideally the successful candidates will have prior experience of working with pupils with behavioural needs and have some experience of team teaching as you will be required to help and support the teacher at certain times. However, your main focus is to support the pupil on a one-to-one basis, therefore you need to be committed, reliable and patient as the pupil can be physically challenging and easily distracted.

The Primary Schools are all based in Liverpool (Speke, Halewood, and Hale) and are easily accessible by public transport.

Successful candidates must possess the following;

  • A current DBS certificate on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • Two professional references within the last three years
  • An attitude and professional committed to the safeguarding of young people
