Behaviour Support Assistant Vacancy

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking a teaching assistant with strong behaviour management to work at a client school based in Newport. You will be enthusiastic with excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills and the ability to deal with challenging behaviour. You will be working 1-1 with a pupil with ASD and EBD. Candidates will be asked to work within regular school hours of 8:30-3:30. The pay will be based on experience, the scale will be from £54.00 - £60.00 a day based entirely on experience.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have strong behaviour management skills
  • Team Teach Trained (desirable)
  • SEN experience is desirable
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be a team player
  • Have an outgoing personality
  • Be confident
  • Show great resilience
  • Have a passion for helping others

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
