Behaviour Support Assistant required in Blackburn

Job description

Teaching Personnel work closely with an SEN School based in the Blackburn area which caters for pupils with additional needs. The School is smaller than average and candidates will be expected to work with pupils who display challenging behaviours. The School are seeking a candidate to work in their KS3 class with pupils aged 11 - 14 years old who have various needs including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, Learning Difficulties and ADHD.

The candidate must be hard working, have experience supporting adults or children who display challenging behaviours. The candidate must be passionate about enriching the lives of pupils with additional needs and candidates will be expected to support pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis.

The role will be full time from September, the working hours are 8.40am - 3.15pm, the candidates must be willing to work for the full academic year (September - July) and you won't be permitted to take holidays during term time.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 60 per day

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
