Behaviour Support Assistant- Oldham- September start

Job description

A full time position for a Behaviour Support Assistant commencing as soon as possible. This role commences as soon as possible and runs until the end of the academic year, so a Behaviour Support Assistant with the appropriate experience and qualifications should apply as soon as possible.

The Setting is a Specialist Provision which is located in Oldham. The pupils who attend the Setting often show signs of challenging behaviour and can be prone to aggressive outbursts. The Setting are ideally seeking Behaviour Support Assistants who have significant experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour. The ideal experience would include: working within a PRU, working within a Residential Care Home or experience within an SEMH School.

In order to apply for this position you should have:

- A qualification related to Youth work or Behaviour

- Significant experience working with pupils who display signs of challenging behaviour

- An in-depth knowledge of crisis prevention tactics

- Experience working within a Pupil Referral Unit (desirable)

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
