Job description

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a small primary provision in Newcastle, to recruit a part time Teaching Assistant on a temporary, flexible basis. There is strong potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The role is based in an attached specialist provision for Key Stage 1/2 students with a variety of SEND. The school has a strong focus on individual social, emotional and physical development; you will be working closely with students to assist them in reaching achievable goals and targets through planning activities according to the level the student is working at. You will be strongly supported by other teaching assistants as well as the class teacher, who will work with the successful candidate to plan and carry out small group sessions. The candidate will also have the opportunity to assist in lunchtime clubs and nurture/social skills clubs for the children.

Candidates with experience working with behavioural and social, emotional mental health difficulties in mainstream and SEN environments are encouraged to apply. You will be dedicated to providing outstanding support and will have access to our unique CPD opportunities to boost your CV! You could earn up to £65 per day in this role, working 3 days per week!
