We are currently recruiting for 1-1 Teaching Assistants to work with pupils with behaviour needs.

The school is a Pupil Referral Unit in Bournemouth - a Secondary School catering for pupils who have been excluded from school. The pupils can display challenging behaviour and may have additional needs.

You will be working on a 1-1 basis with pupils, either in school or off-site (you must e able to drive for off-site work).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • behaviour management
  • liaising with the class teacher regarding the work
  • academic support
  • for off-site work you will also be responsible for transporting the pupil

To be successful in this role you must:

  • have strong behaviour management
  • be resilient, confident and have a good sense of humour
  • have experience working with children and/or young adults
  • be flexible and adaptable
  • for off-site work you must also have a car and business motor insurance

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
