Behaviour Support Assistant
South Manchester

Teaching Personnel has an exciting opportunity for a behaviour support assistant to join our client school from April 2019.

  • Full-time, term time only role
  • Competitive rates of pay dependant on experience; earn up to £1300 per month
  • Behaviour support role; supporting a range of pupils to ensure they stay engaged within classes
  • April 2019 start through until the end of the academic year (July 2019)

Due to a gap within this schools support department, this 11-16 secondary school hope to appoint a confident and outgoing teaching assistant to support pupils who display challenging behaviour.

This is a rewarding position whereby you will support individual pupils to help develop their learning and development. As a behaviour support teaching assistant you will also be required to cover full classes, whereby you will be provided with pre-set work to deliver to pupils. Within this role you will be required to ensure pupils behave appropriately and abide to the schools behaviour policies.

The school wish to appoint a behaviour support teaching assistant who;

  • Is able to build strong relationships with pupils and has previous experience working with secondary aged pupils
  • Has previous experience mentoring/supporting the learning of more challenging pupils
  • Is available to start from April 2019 on a full time basis

Situated in South Manchester, our client school is a short drive from surrounding areas including Sale, Timperley and Baguley. Just short drive from exit 4 on the M56, the school is easily accessible via the Manchester Airport Metro links from the city centre and public bus routes.

Our client school has been on an amazing journey over the past few years, leading it to be nationally recognised for its continuous improvement. In their most recent Ofsted inspection, the school received 'Good' in all areas including leadership and management, behaviour and safety of pupils, quality of teaching and achievement of pupils.
