An exciting opportunity has arisen at a ‘GOOD’ Manchester primary school in the Moss Side area of Manchester (M14). Teaching Personnel are working alongside the school to recruit for an experienced behaviour support assistant. The school are looking for a dedciated practitioner to support a handful of children who need additional assistance to connect with learning and to help them get the most out of their education.

The role is to work alongside dedicated professionals at a ‘GOOD’, three form entry primary school in the Moss Side area of Manchester. The school has been praised for its ‘welcoming atmosphere’ and ‘happy pupils’. It recognises and celebrates cultures and diversities and is extremely well equipped for the high levels of EAL and SEN with in the school. This modern primary school is well resourced and the staff are dedicated to ensuring that every student receives the best possible education.

The successful candidate will work closely alongside the schools SENCO and deputy head teacher to work with a hand ful of pupils across the school who work from EHCP plans. The children have a variety of needs and the school are looking for a dedicated candidate with a compassionate nature who will be able to adapt their support to suit the individual needs of each child. As the children can display very challenging behaviour, the successful candidate will have prior experience supporting learners with additional needs and will be able to defuse situations to prevent escalation. A team teach qualification would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

The school are looking to short list for this role ASAP with a view to trial days taking place during the first couple of weeks back after half term. This is a full time role which will run up until the end of the school year. The school are looking to recruit permanently for this role.
