Behaviour Support Assistant

A Primary School in Hove is currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work 1:1 with a child in Key Stage 2; the position will be full time for the duration of the Summer Term.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH (social, emotional and mental heath difficulties)
  • A positive and patient approach, with the ability to listen and empathise.
  • The ability to work independently when required
  • Experience working in a classroom or similar environment
  • A strong knowledge of SEMH in KS2 aged children

Details of the role:

  • You will be working 1:1 with a pupil in KS2 
  • You will be supported by the inclusion team and will not always be required to work just on a 1:1 basis
  • A nurture space is available in the school to utilise when needed
  • Support is required immediately until the end of the academic year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
