Challenging behaviour

SEN Teaching Assistant or experience working with challenging behaviours

Do you have experience working with children with challenging behaviours?

Do you want to transfer this skillset into a primary school?

Are you looking to change roles from your current SEN Teaching Assistant role?

Teaching Personnel are continuing to work closely with a client primary school in the central Salford, M6 area. This 3 form entry primary school in the heart of Salford, take great pride in their “Good” OFSTED status. Due to the intake of a new child, this school are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work with a child with SEMH in Key Stage 1.

The school with outstanding facilities within Key Stage 1, as an behaviour specialist teaching assistant, you would be joining a well thought of phase within the school. They would be able to offer you focused support with the SENCO and the learning plans for the child will be clearly laid out.

The Role:

  • 1:1 support for a child with challenging behaviours
  • Withdrawal work when necessary
  • Some communication issues leading to behaviour
  • Full time – ASAP Start

The Person:

  • Experience of working with Challenging behaviours – Children or Young People
  • Comfortable with challenging behaviours
  • Able to communicate with children with little speaking ability
  • Communication through visual aids

The role of an autism specialist teaching assistant within the Key Stage 1 would be to start ASAP please apply and send an updated CV

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
