Teaching Personnel are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to work within one of our Sheffield schools to start with immediate effect.

The ideal candidate would have prior experience working in a KS1 setting supporting a child with work set by the class teacher and behaviour management. The Behaviour Support Assistant will have brilliant overall communication capabilities to engage and build an excellent rapport with student and liaise effectively with the class teacher.

The Behaviour Support Assistant would have a patient and nurturing approach, with the ability to effectively deescalate volatile situations. The post is initially for 1 school term, with the potential to lead to a permanent role.

  • Able to effectively deescalate challenging situations
  • Committed to raising standards and attainment through high quality support
  • Knowledgeable about current assessments across Key Stages
  • Knowledge of SATs and phonics schemes would be beneficial but not essential

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
