Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking a Behavioural Support Assistant to work within one of our Sheffield schools to start with immediate effect.

The ideal candidate would have prior experience working in a KS1 setting supporting a child with work set by the class teacher and behaviour management. The Behavioural Support Assistant will have brilliant overall communication capabilities to engage and build an excellent rapport with student and liaise effectively with the class teacher.

The Behavioural Support Assistant would have a patient and nurturing approach, with the ability to effectively deescalate volatile situations. The post is initially for 1 school term, with the potential to lead to a permanent role.

Teaching Personnel are seeking:

  • A candidate who has experience working with individuals who display challenging behaviour
  • A Behavioural Support Assistant with experience in KS1
  • A Behaviour Support Assistant who has supported on both a 1:1 and classroom based setting

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
