Are you looking for a challenging new role in education?

Do you want to support the social, emotional and academic development of pupils with SEN?

Teaching Personnel are looking for a candidate to work as a Behavioural Support Assistant at a school in the Trafford borough. The pupils have found it hard to engage in mainstream provisions and school closures have had a significant impact on engagement levels, so it is vital that effective and engaging intervention is provided to guarantee a promising future for them in alternative provisions. Pupils are aged 11-16 with SEN, such as ASC, EBD and MLD.

This role is temporary, but with the possibility of becoming permanent if you settle into the job well.

Pay will start at £10.20 per hour, with working hours typically being from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience with SEN
  • Behaviour management experience
  • TeamTeach (desirable)

Main responsibilties would involve:

  • Intervening when pupils' behaviour requires attention
  • Engaging students to ensure they stay on track with the curriculum
  • Reporting back to the relevant parties to promote a high standard of care
