Behaviour Support Assistant - South Liverpool

Do you want to support young people at risk of being withdrawn from mainstream education or that may display challenging behaviour?

Our partner school in South Liverpool require a Behaviour Support Assistant to support a student that is joining in the school in September 2019. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates that have experience of working alongside young people in other capacities to further their careers with a role in education.

Our partner school which is located in the South Liverpool area, moved to a new building in in 2018, and was graded 'Good' by Ofsted in their most recent inspection. This all girls 11-16 catholic school is accessible from a range of locations across Liverpool, and has good transport links. Last year the school posted a positive Progress 8 score which was in line with the national average, and in September they are increasing their intake of students as they look to expand and improve even further.

The school would like a Behaviour Support Assistant to support one of their students on a 1:1 basis in order to improve both their behaviour and attainment. The student is at risk of being withdrawn from mainstream education, and the school wants to put alternative provisions in place to prevent this. The role will involve supporting the student both in and out of lessons, as well as around the school in other capacities including social times. Being a positive influence and acting as a role model is vital to this role, and therefore any experience of working with young people outside of education is advantageous, including sports coaches and youth workers.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
