Job description

Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Behavioural needs? An Alternative Provision is currently seeking a dedicated Behavioural Support Assistant to work with students on a one-to-one basis. This is an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact in a respectful and inclusive environment, collaborating closely with teachers and parents to guide and support the behaviour of individual learners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the emotional, social, and behavioural needs of students across various age groups (4-16 years).
  • Assist teachers within the classroom by promoting respectful behaviour and aiding students with assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop tailored curriculums and programs for individual students.

Skills Desired for the Role:

  • Background in supporting individuals with Social, Emotional, and Behavioural needs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Approachable and passionate about mentoring and supporting students.
  • Safeguarding Children training.
  • TeamTeach training.
