Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a large mixed comprehensive Secondary school in the Worsley region of Salford. The school are seeking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant (BSA) to join their support department on a full time basis from January 2018. This position will continue until the end of the academic year initially, with the opportunity to gain a fixed term contract from September 2018.

Do you have experience working with young people aged 11-16? Do you have knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies and experience implementing these?

  • Full time Behaviour Support Assistant position
  • Working with students who display challenging behaviour
  • Supporting the SENCO and Inclusion Manager
  • Working within the on site Inclusion Unit
  • Pay up to £300 per week

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring and recording behaviour within the on-site Inclusion Unit, whilst working with identified pupils to promote positive behaviour management strategies and create activities to engage pupils.

This position is suitable for Youth Workers, Sports Coaches and those experienced dealing with challenging behaviour.

The school currently has over 1,300 pupils on roll, making it larger than the national average. Due to the demographics of the school, there are a large proportion of students whereby English is their second language (EAL), and more students than average receive free school meals (FSM).

Located near to Worsley, our partner school can be accessed via the A580. For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links from Salford, Bolton and Leigh that lead directly to the school.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
