Job description

An Outstanding multi site trust are currently looking to recruit specialist Teacher or higher level teaching assistant (HLTA) for a September 2018 start. Considering the timing in relation to September teachers or teaching assistants who are interested in the role are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. The head teacher is looking to interview potential teachers or HLTA's as soon as possible.

The Setting is a Specialist provision which is located in Oldham. The pupils who attend the Setting often show signs of challenging behaviour and can be prone to aggressive outbursts. The Setting are ideally seeking a Teacher or HLTA who have significant experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour. The ideal experience would include: working within a PRU, working within a Residential Care Home or experience within an SEMH School.

This particular role will involve working with secondary aged pupils supporting them in reaching their full potential. The pupils who attend this Setting do often display signs of challenging behaviour so the successful applicant will require high levels of emotional and physical resilience.

In order to be considering for this position you should have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (not essential NQTs or higher level teaching assistants can apply)

- Experience working within specialist provisions (desirable)

- An understanding of secondary and primary curriculum's

- The ability to support all pupils regardless of their abilities in achieving their potential

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
