Behaviour Support Assistant – Primary school in Great Harwood

The role:

Teaching Personnel have been approached by a using school in Great Harwood to source a nurturing support assistant role to work with a challenging Key Stage 2 class. The role is available due to the school receiving additional funding to support particular children in the Year 5 class. You would be working on a full time basis mainly supporting lower attaining children within the class room. You may also be required to work outside of the classroom with small groups of children. You would be starting on Monday 28th October for an academic year initially with a view to becoming a permanent position.

The School:

The primary school is average sized and it is easily accessible via a number of public transport. The school has very high expectations of behaviour management in school, as they do have a number of pupils with SEMH. The school does have a mixed catchment area, mainly children who attend the school are of Asian heritage, with a small percentage of eastern European pupils attend the school. Experience providing EAL support would be desirable.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: GBP9.50 - GBP11.50 per day

Start date: Monday 28th October 2019

End date: Friday 24th July 2020 with the potential that becomes a permanent
