Are you interested in working to improve student behaviour in school?
Are you confident in managing potentially difficult situations in a calm and effective manner?
A school in Stockport is looking to appoint a Behaviour Support Assistant to join the support staff team in September 2021. Applications are encouraged from recent graduates who are considering becoming teachers in the future, as well as those with experience within a support based capacity previously. Experience working with children with SEN previously is not essential, but is highly desirable.
The school are keen to appoint an individual who is able to confidently maintain school behaviour policy. Working with students who have been excluded from mainstream lessons will be a large focus as part of this role, as well as consistently looking to keep pupils engaged.
Pay for thios roler: Between GBP10 and GBP15 per hour.
The skills that you will need in order to make a success of this role include:
- Patience and resilience – being able to display these 2 skills will be vital in forming relationships with students.
- Excellent organisational skills – this will be essential in fulfilling the responsibilities of this particular position.
- Relationship building skills – being able to form working relationships with students will be vital when looking to get them to adhere to school policies and procedures.

Located in Stockport, the school is located close to the M60 motorway and is easily accessible from Manchester city centre.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
