Behaviour Support Assistant - January 2020

Job description

A Specialist PRU in Oldham are currently looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for a January 2020 start.

The successful candidate will be working directly with pupils with SEMH needs, across all secondary key stages.   Due to the nature of the needs of the young people it would be ideal for candidates to have either professional or personal experience of dealing effectively with challenging behaviour.

Ideally applicants will have:

  • GCSE English and Maths at grade A* - C or an equivalent qualification
  • A qualification in Youth Work or similar
  • Extensive experience working with young people with SEMH needs

The Setting itself is a new build special school which is located close to the centre of Oldham town centre. The School are looking to met potential Teaching Assistants as soon as possible.
