Job description

Are you experienced in dealing with challenging behaviour in a classroom setting or within an alternative provision setting? I am currently working with several Behavioural Provisions and PRUs who require support staff to help them with a range of challenging behaviours.

We are currently recruiting for experienced Behavioural Teaching Assistants. The role is to start immediately and continue through the academic year. I am looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to work across KS2, KS3 and KS4.

Team teach training is ideal but not essential as training can be provided through Teaching Personnel. The schools are looking for people that are able to support and encourage children to develop academically and socially. Excellent behaviour management skills are a must.

Desired backgrounds include

  • Sports (coaching),
  • Psychology,
  • Youth Work,
  • Art and Design
  • Music
  • Criminology/Psychology/Education Studies

The Ideal Candidate will have:

  • A genuine interest in making a difference to pupil's lives
  • Experienced Youth or Community Support Worker
  • Working knowledge of meeting the emotional, social and mental health of young people
  • Desire to take a supporting role in alternative education setting
  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday 8:30 am - to 4:00pm during school term time
  • Have DBS (or be willing to undertake one) on the update service
