Teaching Personnel are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a busy and committed team of staff for a school based in Huddersfield. The right candidate will be happy to support teachers and pupils in a range of ways from 1:1 individual support tailored to the pupil to working with groups of children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) needs (Team Teach or equivalent training an advantage but not essential). The role is full time and the right candidate will have the opportunity to apply for a permanent position depending on their success in that role.
Our client offers a nurturing, safe and non-judgemental space for children who display challenging behaviour. The school is based in Scisset and is a specialist provision for students that have been excluded from mainstream education. It offers support in academic and vocational subjects, identifying the strengths of the students and working with them to help them to become independent and employable.
This role would particularly suit:
- Teaching Assistants looking for a new challenge
- People with experience working with challenging children
- People who are wanting to gain more experience in teaching/mental health
The benefits of working with Teaching Personnel are:
- Flexibility - we work around you!
- Great rates of pay
- Professional training
- The support of a dedicated consultant
