Job description

A Head Teacher at one of our partner Schools has asked us to recruit a hard working, enthusiastic and empathetic Teaching Assistant to support KS3/4 pupils with SEMH Difficulties and challenging behaviours. The School is based in Darwen and the pupils in this School have a range of needs and often display challenging behaviours. Candidates with their Team Teach qualification will be favoured for this role but it is not essential.

The role will start as soon as possible on a full time basis. The School hours are 8.45am - 2.45pm and you are expected to work with the pupils throughout your lunch time. The role will require you to support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis. The pupils in School do display challenging behaviours and therefore candidates with strong behaviour management skills will be favoured.

The candidate suited to this role will have experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviours and be looking for a long term role as this position is due to become permanent from September and be a long term temporary role until the summer with TP.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £9.50 - 10.50 per hour
