Job description

Do you have good behaviour management?

Are you happy to support a child on a 1:1 basis?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a large primary school and the Head Teacher is seeking additional support for one of their Year 3 pupils. This primary school is located in Blackburn. Coming from a challenging background, the pupil has behavioural issues and the Headteacher is ideally seeking a positive role model to work on a 1:1 basis with her in order to improve her behaviour.

The start date for the role would be Monday 16th September 2019. The Head Teacher is looking for a support assistant who can commit to the role for the full academic year, with the potential of a school contract in the future. The incoming Teaching Assistant will enjoy the benefits of working in a two form entry popular Primary School on the outskirts of Blackburn. When the pupils join the school in the EYFS stage the levels are usually well below what is typical for their age, however when they leave in Year 6 results are generally significantly above average.

The behaviour in school is excellent and the pupils are polite, well mannered and welcoming. Teaching Assistants who have worked in school through Teaching Personnel enjoy working in school because behaviour is exemplary and attendance is good, in addition the support from senior leaders is constant and evident.
