Job description

Here at Teaching Personnel we work closely with a pupil referral unit in Cardiff. The school are looking for a teaching assistant with experience of working with challenging behaviour, the experience does not necessarily have to be from a school based environment. The school itself caters for pupils that display challenging behaviour, each class at the school caters for a different subject, so the successful candidate will need to have a specialist subject so that they can be placed into the right class. The pupils at the school are of secondary age. The students may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and challenging behaviour. Pay will range based on experience, the scale will go from £54.00-£60.00 a day, along with other additional benefits. The school day will commence at 8:30am and finish at 3:00pm.
