Teaching Personnel work closely with a client pupil referral unit based in Cardiff. The school are looking for a learning support assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil with severe challenging behaviour. You will be required to start at 8:30 and finish by 3:30. Pay will be based entirely on experience but usually ranges from £54.00-£60.00 a day.

Criteria

This School requires someone who can work closely with this specific pupil and improve behaviour quickly. You must have previous experience in a similar role and be available on a full-time basis, immediately.

  • Minimum 6 months experience as a mentor or similar role.
  • Team Teach Trained (desirable)
  • Other relevant courses completed
  • Sports background
  • Cool under pressure and able to deal with de-escalating situations
  • Persistent, calm and assertive personality

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
