BEHAVIOUR MENTOR - TEACHING ASSISTANT - BRISTOL

Are you seeking a role in which you can support disengaged students?

Do you have experience working with children?

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a secondary client school which is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join them this term.

If you are looking to support a pupil on the 1:1 basis and have a passion for working with pupils with challenging behaviour this role could be perfect for you!

This is a full time role and will begin immediately.

The school you will be joining is an inner-city Secondary school in Bristol.

About the role:

  • Full time role
  • 8.30-3.30 hours
  • £54-£65 a day (dependant on experience)

The successful candidate will be working 1:1 and in small groups with disengaged teenagers. The students you will be supporting will not only need academic support but somebody to act as a role model figure.

Prior experience working/volunteering with children in some capacity is desirable, but not a requirement. These students can be quite challenging at times and so the successful candidate will need to be motivated and have a positive attitude.

Requirements:

  • A Child workforce DBS, on the update service - Teaching Personnel can support you through the process of applying for one if you do not already have one.
  • Confidence in working with challenging behaviour
  • A calm, kind and caring manner about you
