Behaviour Mentor Required - Full-time
Teaching Personnel are working with a fantastic school in Yate that are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to support a reception student on a 1:1 basis. This child is can be quite challenging and has PAD (Pathological Avoidance Disorder) which means he can often be quite resistant to instruction. This child on the whole is well behaved but the school believe implementing a behaviour mentor who can provide additional support at an early stage will be valuable to this child's progression. Early intervention is significant in the first few months of the child transitioning to into school in order to develop good practices and manage the child's behaviour. The school require 1:1 support with good behaviour management as the child in a challenging outburst can abscond and be quite difficult. As a behaviour mentor you will be supporting the child on all lessons of the day as well as delivering specialist social and communication activities with the child.
