Behaviour Mentor - Radcliffe, Bury (M26) primary school

  • Are you a Teaching Assistant looking to work with children with challenging behaviour?
  • Do you have previous experience working with children with SEMH needs in the class room in a youth club setting?

A school in Radcliffe, Bury (M26) is looking for a behaviour mentor to work in the Year 6 classroom on a 1:1 basis supporting a child with ADHD and SEMH needs.

The role of Behaviour Mentor will involve class room support, engaging the pupil in class room activities and monitoring behaviour. This will also involve implementing school strategies and procedures for behaviour. This role will also involve liaising with the SENCO and class room teacher to monitor and evaluate the pupil's progress.

Suitable applicants will:

  • Have previous SEN or SEMH experience
  • Experience building relationship's with children with challenging children
  • Have a Teaching Assistant certificate or equivalent qualification degree
