Job description

A Preston based School that Teaching Personnel work exclusively with are seeking a hard working, confident and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide Behaviour support in a challenging School. The School is smaller than average and specifically provides education and support for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours. The School has approximately 50 pupils on roll ranging in age from 10 - 17 years old. The School are hoping to appoint a full time member of staff with strong classroom management skills and a can do attitude to work. The School are looking for someone who has a strong work ethic and someone who can commit to a full time, long term role with a view to become permanent.

The School is based on the outskirts of Preston and has close links to the M6 motorway. The School provides support for pupils who can no longer remain in mainstream education, often due to their behaviour. Therefore, candidates applying for this role must have strong classroom/behaviour management skills. The School have a warm, welcoming feel and the staff are a close knit team.

The candidate suited to this role will be experienced in working with pupils who display challenging behaviours, passionate about enriching the lives of pupils who are harder to reach and hard working! The ideal candidate will hold their Team Teach qualification but this isn't essential.

The successful candidate will benefit from:

- Negotiable pay rates £54 - 65 per day

- Long term position available
