Behaviour Mentor needed for a primary school in the Salford (M3) area

  • Do you have a desire to work with children with challenging behaviour in the classroom?
  • Do you have experience working with children and young people in a classroom or youth setting?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with an 'Outstanding' school in the Salford (M3) area and the Head Teacher is looking for a behaviour mentor to support children in the classroom so that pupils are able to engage and access the national curriculum. Due to an increase in the number of temporary exclusions nationally, our client primary school wishes to appoint Behaviour Mentors to work with identified pupils this academic year.

The Behaviour Mentor will be expected to deliver intervention settings to small group and 1:1 sessions to improve behaviour and raise attainment within the class. The candidate will be working in an 'Outstanding' school and with liaise with the SENCO, inclusion Manager and teachers to record progression and identify any other gaps in the pupils education.

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour is desirable
  • Supporting students inside the classroom and in the Learning Resource Centre
  • Access a range of CPD courses to bolster personal learning and development

The Salford based primary school has recently been graded 'Outstanding by Ofsted and has excellent facilities and a warm and friendly school community for the right candidate to join. The school also has a strong senior leadership team to support all staff and provided excellent training opportunities as well.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
