BEHAVIOUR MENTOR - NORTH MANCHESTER SCHOOL - SEPTEMBER 2018

A large school in North Manchester have identified the need for additional support for a number of pupils in the upcoming academic year. We want to hear from you if you have previous experience in a Behaviour Mentor position, or have similar relatable experience working with young people who show signs of challenging behaviour.

"Due to expansion in the department and additional needs in the upcoming academic year, we require a Behaviour Mentor to join the school in September 2018. This role will involve working with a number of pupils within the school who have been identified as being at risk of being permanently excluded from mainstream education. Successful candidates will have previous experience in a similar position and will be required to work closely with the SENCO and Inclusion Manager to develop and implement new strategies for identified pupils in the school with additional needs." - Head Teacher

  • Full time Behaviour Mentor position starting in September 2018
  • Get paid up to £1300 a month as a Behaviour Mentor, depending on experience and qualifications as well as responsibilities held within the school.
  • Full access to Teaching Personnel's further development programmes and CPD training courses through partner schools across Manchester.
  • Work closely with identified pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as in a group setting, encouraging and promoting positive behaviour and participation within the classroom.
  • Working alongside the SEN department and Inclusion manager, developing new strategies and techniques to improve the behaviour of identified pupils, in an attempt to reduce their risk of permanent exclusion from mainstream education

**Experience working with children and young people within an educational/youth work setting is highly desirable for this position. **
