Position: Teaching Assistant for Behaviour Support
Location: Primary School in Nelson (BB9)
Working Hours: 3 days per week (Flexible days) 8.15am - 15.15pm
Rate of Pay: Competitive £11.85 - £12.55 per hour
Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant for Behaviour Support, you will play a vital role in fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere for our students. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 support to a Year 4 student, helping them manage and regulate their behaviour effectively.
- Implementing tailored strategies to support the student's emotional and behavioural development.
- Collaborating closely with teachers and other support staff to create a holistic support plan.
- Assisting in the creation and adaptation of resources to meet the student's specific needs.
- Celebrating the student's achievements and progress, promoting a sense of accomplishment and self-worth.

We are seeking an individual who is dedicated, patient, and compassionate. While previous experience in working with children who display challenging behaviour is desirable, we also value your commitment to making a positive impact. Key qualifications include:
- A genuine passion for supporting children's emotional and behavioural growth.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Empathy, patience, and a resilient attitude in challenging situations.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to adapt strategies as needed.
- An understanding of child development and a commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
