Behaviour Mentor Position available in South York from January 2019

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a client alternative provision in South York, to appoint a number of Behaviour Mentors for full time positions, starting in January 2019, or February 2019 for the ideal candidate. As the ideal applicant, you should be experienced support students with attachment disorders and behavioural difficulties. Ideally you will have worked on a 1:1 basis, however this is not essential. If successful, you may be required to undergo a Team Teach course in York.

Teaching Personnel would also welcome applications from candidates with transferable skills, such as:

  • Ex-Military
  • Sports Coaches
  • Youth Workers
  • Support Workers
  • Care Assistants

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6 months supporting those with additional needs, either in a voluntary or paid capacity
  • Able to work independently and manage behaviour effectively
  • The willingness to undergo Team Teach training
  • Be enthusiastic, passionate and patient
