A PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) for students between the ages of 11-16, who have been excluded from mainstream education, are looking for Teaching Assistants to join their team. All students have behavioural difficulties such as SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs), ADHD and Autism.
The schools aim is to ensure every pupil has the opportunity to achieve his or her best. They are extremely successful and provide a personalised education which is always tailored to the individual needs of the pupil.
We find that candidates with a background in the following roles tend to get on very well at this school:
- Youth Workers
- Psychology Graduates
- Mental Health Support Workers
- Teaching Assistants
- Sports Coaches
We are looking for confident Teaching Assistants to work on a 1-1 basis with pupils, your responsibilities will include:
- Liaising with the class teacher regarding lesson plans and expectations
- Supporting the pupil with their work
- Managing behaviour expectations
- Supporting pupils emotional needs
- Working in school and off site. Because of this, it is essential you drive and have access to a vehicle
Ideally we are looking for candidates with full time availability, however part time will be considered for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
