Behaviour Mentor
Join a popular secondary school in South Manchester seeking to appoint a Behaviour Mentor on a full-time basis from April.
As a Behaviour Mentor, the successful candidate will provide support and guidance to students who are experiencing difficulties in learning due to social, emotional or behavioural problems. They will help students overcome any barriers to learning that may effect their engagement in education and will provide support inside and outside of the classroom.
Prior experience of working with young people is desired for this role. Experience in Youth Work or Sports Coaching experience would also be relevant for this role.
All applicants will require a C or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
We are looking for an individual who is:
- Experienced in providing support to young people.
- Resilient and able to manage behaviour appropriately.
- Able to relate to young people and act as a positive role model to students.
This large secondary academy is easily accessible via public transport links from the city centre and surrounding areas. For those who drive, the academy is located a 20 minute drive from the city centre. Due to recent investments, the school has excellent state of the art facilities including modern well-resourced classrooms.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
