Role: Behaviour Buddy
School: Independent Special School
Location: Bristol
Salary: £54-65 per day
Teaching Personnel is seeking a behaviour mentor to work on a 1:1 basis and to support the class teacher with class sizes of a maximum of 6 students. You will be working as a behaviour mentor in a really lovely school with an incredibly supportive staff base.
As a behaviour mentor within an SEN school you will need to be able to be engaging, enthusiastic, and motivational as well as being incredibly resilient. You will be working with students who are incredibly vulnerable and struggle within mainstream education, these students are likely to be quite challenging and have challenging outbursts. You may be working with students who have additional needs that create barriers to learning, so experience with additional needs is preferred however not essential.
